The Hong Kong Green Building Council (“HKGBC”), one of the co-organisers of “Jockey Club Energy Saver in Schools Project”, held a series of “Green Building Tours” in late 2024 for the participating schools as part of the education activities of the Project. Over 100 students and teachers visited BEAM Plus certified green buildings in Hong Kong, including the Jockey Club - The Conservancy Association Urban Forestry Green Hub, InnoCell at Science Park, and The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong. The tours provided participants with insights into green building designs and features, and more importantly, highlighted the role of green buildings in promoting sustainable development.
HKGBC will continue to organise various education programmes, including Green Building Tours in 2025 and beyond, leading teachers and students to visit more local green buildings and enhance their understanding of green building and sustainable development through hands-on learning experiences.
